Sequoia Living Presents Legacy Discussions for Environmental Education and Stewardship

SAN FRANCISCO, May 18, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — living sequoia proudly presents “Legacy Talks” on environmental sustainability, a three-part webinar series kicking off Wednesday, June 1st at 2 p.m.. Each session will focus on creating lasting and achievable solutions, with the goal of informing, educating and advocating for healthier living. “Together we can create healthier lives for generations to come,” said Ray Boudewynvice president of facilities and supply, Sequoia Living.

During the three parts Inheritance Discussions, the audience will hear from experts in climate change, waste management, emissions control and water conservation. The launch of the series is Mitchell beerpublisher and editor of The Energy Mix, a news website and electronic digest on climate change, energy and carbon reduction.

“Sequoia Living continuously reviews our communities and processes to assess the environmental impact of our business. We have taken action by creating our own electricity to reduce reliance on the grid, we are working with our partners on food waste and reducing emissions, and now we are installing solar panels on one of our communities to improve its efficiency,” Boudewyn said.

As an extension of its environmental stewardship, Sequoia Living continues its efforts to reduce emissions by using cogeneration technologies and producing 80% of the energy from San Francisco Sequoias.
